Wind 2011
22nd and 23rd February 2011,Taj President, Mumbai
Wind power forms the largest segment in the renewable energy market in India. The industry has undergone a structural shift from manufacturer to 'Independent Power Producer' model in the country & till date is dominated by private players. The industry growth rate is very high- reportedly at above 30% since 2004 and is estimated to be worth around $ 2.5 bn. Though the 'on-shore' potential is estimated to be around 48,500 MW, the installed capacity till 31.3.10 is only 11,807 MW. There are no dearth of Incentives at Central & State Levels, Accelerated Depreciation, Tax exemptions, Concessional Equipments to the recently introduced Generation based ones. But, realization of potential is a long way off and there are also differences between installed and utilized capacities. WIND 2011 Conference and Exhibition will provide a unique forum to discuss the required growth and opportunities available in the Wind Energy sector in India.
Bio-Energy 2011
June 2011,Mumbai
Bio-Energy is an important element in the renewable energy planning for a tropical country such as India. With minimal investment, biodiesel, bioethanol & biomass gassification have great potential to develop as energy sources .At present, approximately 68.35 million hectare area is lying as wastelands in India, over and above the 78.37 million hectares of tree and forest cover , which is 23.84% of the geographical area. Apparently there has been a net positive increase in the total forest cover of the country, in spite of reports of degradation.
Bio-Energy 2011 Conference would attempt to make a comparative study of the techno economic feasibility for production of biodiesel, bioethanol and biomass gasification in India and abroad. It would also highlight barriers and impediments and technology interventions needed for the development of these bio-energy options. It would try to suggest policy interventions and supportive action plan for the development and promotion of bio-energy in India.
Hydropower 2011
April 2011,New Delhi
India is endowed with rich hydropower potential, ranked fifth in the world in terms of usable potential, estimated to be around 240,000 MW. However, around 85% of our potential is yet to be developed, indicating the humongous opportunities available in the sector. On a macro level, REIF would present a realistic view of the sector in India, discuss the critical issues in hydro project implementation & ways & means to accelerate large project development. On micro level, it has been identified that Small Hydro Power Projects are easy to implement in remote and hilly areas, generate faster returns and can be the panacea for rural electrification and socio-economic development. REIF would explore the State Policy towards SHP and how much private industry can supplement State initiatives in promoting renewable energy production
Beside above mentioned conferences REIF will be organization seminars and workshops
